Help Bring Thanksgiving to Families Impacted by Hurricane Sandy

November 20, 2012

Giving back to the community is at the heart of our mission at Natural Healthcare Center (NHC).

Throughout the year, we give back through charitable donations, support for various community programs and free public speaking on important health issues. After Hurricane Sandy’s tragic effect on so many lives in our area, we want to help make their Thanksgiving as pleasant as possible.

On Thursday November 15th between 3 and 7pm NHC will be hosting a Turkey Drive to benefit Broken Loaves, a food pantry in Old Bridge which provides groceries for approximately 120 families each week. NHC will be donating 25 frozen turkeys and we invite our patients and patrons to donate as many turkeys as possible. (Only Frozen Turkeys Please). Many of the local grocery stores have bonus points which can be traded in for a Thanksgiving turkey or you can purchase a frozen turkey to donate.

Additionally, as the cold sets in, people are in need of:

  • blankets,
  • gloves and
  • winter hats.

Please come to Natural Healthcare Center (10 West End Ct., Long Branch) on Thursday November 15th between 3 and 7pm with your donations.  Broken Loaves will be there with a truck to pick up all of the Turkeys and blankets, gloves and hats.

Let’s help bring Thanksgiving to those families who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy in our area

If you have any questions, please call Betsy Marinelli, our Community Relations Director, at 732-222-2219 or via e-mail at bmarinelli@naturalhc.com. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday November 15th from 3-7PM .  Thank you for your generosity!
