We believe in putting the patient first. Bio-individuality tells us that every person is unique and should be assessed and treated as such. There’s no “one size fits all” solution. As a healthcare provider, we don’t take an “us vs. them” mentality. We believe in a team approach to healthcare and collaborate with other medical providers to deliver the best outcome for the patient. We build relationships with every patient, set realistic expectations, and use every technique, every tool and every ounce of expertise available to meet those expectations
We believe in serving our community. We take our role in the community very seriously, not just as a healthcare provider, but as an educational resource, as a member of the local business community, as a supporter of worthy causes, and as trusted neighbors and friends.
We believe in the body’s ability to heal itself. Our personalized, science-based treatment plans focus on stimulating the body’s natural healing powers to restore and maintain balance – physically, nutritionally and psychologically – across the body’s many interconnected systems. Medication and surgery have their place, but medication should be used temporarily and sparingly, and surgery should be a last resort.
We believe in “health care,” not “sick care.” Conventional medicine does a fine job with emergency and traumatic care, from fixing a broken arm to saving a life after a heart attack. However, chronic illness is a different story. Conventional medicine typically waits for someone to get sick and reactively treats them with medication, often at the symptom level. That’s “sick care.” We focus on proactively preventing disease. Most chronic illnesses are caused by lifestyle choices and, as a result, are preventable and even reversible. If we see warning signs of chronic illness, we take action. We attack the root cause of the problem to restore and maintain your good health. That’s “health care.”
We believe in health literacy. As Dr. Proodian always says, health literacy is the key to longevity. Health literacy means you have the knowledge to make smart health and lifestyle choices that make it possible to feel better, function better and live longer. Education is at the core of what we do at Natural Healthcare Center.
We believe in functional medicine. Bio-individuality, patient-centered care, proactive disease prevention, health literacy, treating the root cause of illness instead of medicating symptoms, and achieving physical, nutritional and psychological balance are all part of the functional medicine approach to healthcare. America is slowly shifting to this model, which Natural Healthcare Center has embraced since its inception in 2003.
