Celebrating 20 Years of Natural Healthcare Center with Gratitude and Humility

All I’ve ever wanted to be is a community-based doctor and educator who would help people feel better, function better, and live longer.

On July 9, 2003, I fulfilled my dream of starting my own practice with the opening of Natural Healthcare Center. For the past 20 years, my vision for a truly integrative, science-based practice has taken shape, and tens of thousands of lives have been changed.

There are no words strong enough to express the gratitude and appreciation for everyone who has supported me throughout this humbling journey. I’ll start by simply saying, “THANK YOU!”

Thank you to my parents, who not only lent me the money to buy Dr. Dennis Nitto’s practice, but also raised me with the values and passion I have today. We lost Dad 10 years ago but his spirit is with us each day. My Friday phone calls with Mom continue to inspire me and make every week complete.

Thank you to Patty Dametz, who was there on day one when I purchased Dr. Nitto’s practice and spent 18 years at Natural Healthcare Center before retiring in 2021.

Thank you to Mike Grottola, my long-time business manager, advisor, sounding board, and friend.

Thank you to a truly exceptional clinical team, especially Dr. Kurt Hostnik, Dr. Oscar Coetzee, and Dr. Marc Desiderio, who share and support my vision and bring a tremendous amount of knowledge and compassion to Natural Healthcare Center each day.

Of course, thank you to my wife, Stacy, who came into my life 30 years ago and has always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. After 25 years of marriage and five beautiful children, to say my heart is full would be an understatement.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Natural Healthcare Center – every team member, every patient, every family in our community.

I do want to make it clear that this anniversary doesn’t mean we’re slowing down. Although I’ve enjoyed reflecting on the past, my best years are ahead of me. I’m always looking to the future of Natural Healthcare Center.

This year, we launched occupational therapy and added medical services. We’re about to launch NHC Fitness for personal training. I’m working on a new podcast.

All five of my children have worked at Natural Healthcare Center. My daughters, Hannah and Sophia, have basically grown up here and could be working here soon. What greater motivation could I have as a father than to have the privilege of working with my kids?

Today, I celebrate 20 years of Natural Healthcare Center with gratitude and humility. Tomorrow, I go back to the future – without the DeLorean.

Once again, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your support and could not be more excited about the next 20 years!

A Message For Our Patients

On Saturday, March 21, 2020 New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy held a press conference in which additional measures were enacted to curtail the spread of Covid-19 and issued Executive Order 108. This Order states in part that “any health facilities that provide medically necessary or therapeutic services” can remain open. The Order further states “Nothing in this Order shall be construed to limit, prohibit or restrict in any way the provision of health care or medical services to members of the public.”

We are continuing to take all precautions to ensure that our patients and staff stay safe during this unprecedented time:

We are staggering our appointment times to promote social distancing.
All rooms and equipment will be disinfected and cleaned with medical grade disinfectant immediately before and after each patient encounter.
Our clinicians will wear gloves for your treatment upon request.

We ask that if you have any cold or flu-like symptoms, including a cough or fever, or have recently traveled to an area affected by the coronavirus, that you do not come in for your appointment but rather call us to reschedule.

If you do have a fever or other flu-like symptoms, or have possibly been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with coronavirus, please self-quarantine and contact your primary care doctor as soon as possible.

We are blessed to be open and able to serve our communities, and will do so as long as we possibly can.
