Shawanda Davis has always had an interest in massage therapy, but it wasn’t until her father was diagnosed with bone cancer that she decided to finally pursue massage as a career. When Shawanda visited her father in the hospital, therapists offered chair massages not only to the patients when cleared by the doctor, but also to visiting family members and friends. In addition to the physical benefits of massage, Shawanda saw firsthand how people could benefit from a feeling of relaxation and peace, especially during difficult times.
Shawanda graduated from the Institute of Therapeutic Massage in Tinton Falls, NJ in 2014 and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She loves the welcoming environment at Natural Healthcare Center and enjoys working alongside professionals with such diverse backgrounds. For Shawanda, the most rewarding part of being a massage therapist is contributing to the recovery of each individual and helping them live their best life.
