My Public Speaking and NHC’s Community Relations Program Are Coming Back in a Big Way in 2023

I have a lot of fancy titles and credentials as Clinical Director of Natural Healthcare Center. One role that I find especially enjoyable and rewarding is that of a public speaker.

I love being able to educate, motivate, and inspire people. I love engaging people face-to-face, seeing expressions of emotion, and listening to their stories. I love when people walk up to me after an event and tell me how much they were moved by what they just heard.

Over the course of 30 years, I’ve spoken to hundreds of organizations and more than 30,000 people. During the last two-plus years, however, my public speaking and Community Relations program have largely been on hiatus. That will change in 2023.

Education is at the core of what I do.

Since 2014, I’ve has served as Health Educator for CityWell, a free educational and clinical resource created to help employees of the City of Long Branch, NJ and their families lead healthier lives.

In addition to my blog, I’ve contributed articles to the Asbury Park Press and publications all over the country and hosted the “By Design” radio program on The Bridge FM.

Of course, education is involved with every patient appointment at Natural Healthcare Center. Educating people about how their body functions and how lifestyle choices affect their health is absolutely essential to helping them live their best life.

That said, nothing compares to the energy you feel at a public speaking event, both as an attendee and the speaker.

This is why I’ve been chomping at the bit to get back out in the community. I can’t wait to present health education programs to groups who want to gain a better understanding of their health and take steps to feel better, function better, and live longer.

The sad reality is that many people in our society have no idea what it feels like to be truly healthy. Chronic illness and physical pain are accepted as normal. Anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders are more prevalent than ever, thanks in large part to Covid.

As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Natural Healthcare Center and our Community Relations program in 2023, I’m excited to start a new chapter in my public speaking.

Health Education Programs

Public speaking allows me to engage with businesses, professional organizations, schools, and community groups and discuss many topics and health conditions that I address in clinical practice every day. Presentations range from a one-hour workshop or lunch-and-learn to a large-scale keynote address at a conference.

Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Immune Systems: Heightening Your Defenses Naturally
  • Women’s Hormonal Health and the Prevention of Cancer
  • Tired to Inspired: Helping Your Employees Get Healthy

A small sampling of businesses and organizations that have invited me to speak include:

  • Asbury Park Press
  • CDW

Looking Forward to 2023 with Optimism

I’m not just excited about ramping up our Community Relations program in 2023. I’m excited about increasing awareness of what contributes to chronic illness. I’m excited about a growing desire to prevent disease and injury by making smart lifestyle choices.

The holiday season is a time of reflection and celebration. I’m grateful for my relationship with God and the people in my life, personally and professionally. I look forward to spending Christmas celebrating with the people I love.

I hope we all can slow down, unplug, and enjoy this special time with loved ones. I look forward to helping the people in my life find joy, peace, and good health in 2023.

On behalf of the Natural Healthcare Center family and the Proodian family, I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a happy, healthy New Year!
