Dana Filatova, DCN, LDN, CISSN, MS, CNS Clinical Nutritionist

Dana Filatova is a Board Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) and Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN). She received a Master of Science degree in Nutrition & Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH). Her undergraduate education was completed at the University of Maryland R.H. Smith School of Business with a degree in International Business. She is currently completing her doctorate work with a specialization in clinical functional nutrition at MUIH where she also serves as a teaching assistant and guest lecturer.

Filatova was born and raised in Riga, Latvia, and exposed to holistic/functional medicine from a young age. She takes a science-based, investigative approach to solving cases and believes in teaming up with her patients to investigate the root causes or the underlying conditions causing symptoms and/or ailments. By approaching her work as a partnership, not only with patients but also with an integrative team of practitioners, she believes she can best improve her patients’ health and well-being while also providing support and care.

When Filatova is not at clinic with patients, she can be found researching and writing. She is a frequent visitor at the ice rink where she enjoys watching youth, college, or professional hockey or simply skating for leisure. She also attends barre classes religiously and has developed a true passion for it.
